THE OSCARS CITY WALK

The Oscars City Walk is the first walk planned as part of the Trail. Did you know that all Polish films honoured with an award from the American Film Academy were produced in Łódź?

Learn the extraordinary tradition of the film Łódź, following up the greatest titles: Paweł Pawlikowski’s Ida, Agnieszka Holland’s In Darkness, Andrzej Wajda’s Afterimage and The Promised Land as well as cult animated films: Zbigniew Rybczyński’s Tango and Suzie Templeton’s Peter & the Wolf, created in the Se-ma-for animation studio.

On the walking route you will not only visit the locations in Łódź which appeared on screen in Oscar-winning titles, but you will also have a chance to see the original Oscar statuette!

You will need about 2 hours to complete the full walk. During this time you will visit the following locations:

   2. EC1 Łódź - City of Culture
   3. Grand Hotel
   4. YMCA Łódź
   5. Pinkus tenement house
   6. Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź - ms1
   7. Grazyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music
   8. Andel's Hotel
   9. Museum of the City of Łódź
   10. Old Town Park - Herring's Eye

Tickets can be purchased at the EC1 ticket offices or on the institution's website.

The walks start from the entrance to the EC1 Centre for Science and Technology.
