The tenement at 101 Piotrkowska Street once belonged to the Lodz industrialist Jakub Hofman. It was built in the 1880s and originally had only two floors. It was probably expanded only during the interwar period, when From Bornsztajn was already the owner. After passing through the gate, one can see the stately outbuildings with decorated facades, where Hofman originally housed a weaving mill for handkerchiefs and woolen court cloth. Slight scenographic changes in the courtyard have made it possible to recreate the Lodz of the late 19th century.

Bodo

reż. Michał Kwieciński, Michał Rosa, 2016

In 2016, the set of the TV series Bodo, about the life of Eugeniusz Bodo, or rather Bohdan Eugène Junod, one of the most popular film, theatre and revue actors in interwar Poland, was set in the courtyard of this tenement house. Scenes shot in Lodz tell the story of Bohdan's (Antoni Królikowski) school years. The courtyard at 101 Piotrkowska Street has been transformed into Łódź of the early 20th century, where the young Bodo lives with his mother in a tasteful bourgeois flat. Ada (Anna Pijanowska), his unfulfilled love, Hans (Adam Fidusiewicz), a schoolmate with whom Bodo competes for the girl's affections, and Moryc Blum (Piotr Żurawski), Bohdan's friend and confidant live next door.
