A new initiative is launched to promote Łódź UNESCO City of Film - the UNESCO City of Film  Trail. It is aimed at discovering and disseminating the film heritage of Łódź.

The first stage of the project are cyclical guided tours organized by the Łódź Film Commission, during which participants can reach the places where scenes from the most important works of Polish cinema were created. A walk along the trail of one of the routes, the Oscar-winning Łódź, is an opportunity to discover the extraordinary film tradition of Łódź. You can traverse the city in the footsteps of the greatest titles: "Ida" by Paweł Pawlikowski, "In Darkness" by Agnieszka Holland, "Afterimages" and "The Promised Land" by Andrzej Wajda, as well as cult animations - "Tango" by Zbigniew Rybczyński and "Peter and the Wolf" by Suzie Templeton, created at Studio Se-ma-for.

When getting to know the film Łódź, you can take advantage of the city walks or explore the city on your own according to the directions and maps available on the trail website.

The project was initiated by the City of Łódź Office. It is implemented by EC1 Łódź - City of Culture / Łódź Film Commission, in cooperation with the National Center for Film Culture, Łódź Tourist Organization and PTTK Łódź, Section of Jan Czeraszkiewicz.
